EASL organises together with Key Opinion Leaders, scientific events throughout the year covering the latest advances in hepatology in each liver specialty.
In order to strengthen and maintain liver research, medicine and education at the forefront, the EASL governing board has devised this policy statement to harness the power of diversity, to fully recognize merit in an unbiased manner, and support EASL members at all stages of their career.
The EASL equality, diversity and inclusion policy encompasses both an internal policy, regulating governing board or consortia work, and an external policy governing conferences, workshops and events.
The association offers every year the hepatology community:
- Two summits
- Up to three monothematic meetings
- One endpoint meeting
- Up to one special conference
EASL applies for accreditation from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) for all its educational activities.
The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA).
Details of the number of CME’s accredited per event are available on the event web pages.
